La vida de los llamados benefactores de la humanidad puede servir de motivación, incentivo y guía a quienes desean ser profesionales en ciencias de la salud y/o se inician y perfeccionan en la investigación científica en ellas. Asimismo, permite incrementar el acervo cultural, mandatorio para quienes practican, desde la docencia, la investigación y/o la asistencia, disciplinas relacionadas íntimamente con la condición humana.
En ese marco, la vida de Emil von Behring, y su siempre condicionante contexto histórico, persigue tal objetivo.

Abstract
The lives of the so-called benefactors of humanity may serve as motivation, incentive and guide to those who wish to be professionals in health sciences and/or begin and improve themselves in scientific research in such sciences. Likewise, it allows increasing the cultural heritage, mandatory for those who practice, through teaching, investigation and/or assistance, disciplines closely related to the human condition.
In this framework, Emil von Behring’s life, and its always conditioning historical context, pursues such aim.
